Lent  2023

Journeying Through Lent: Formation

Sundays at 9am: Encounters with Jesus– an exploration of Forward Movement’s Lenten meditation offering: walk with Jesus through powerful daily devotions that explore God’s Word, the ways we bear one another’s burdens, and our hope in Christ. Written by Latino leaders from across the Episcopal Church, the meditations invite all readers to encounter Jesus through stories and traditions that reflect and transcend culture and community. Join Mother Ashley daily on FB Live at 9am to hear the meditation and reflections, and come on Sunday for group discussion in Baines! ***Teens AND adults are welcome in the discussion, and a separate table will be set up for children’s activities.

Wednesday Night Program: Embracing Evangelism– a course offered by The Episcopal Church and Virginia Theological Seminary, using a combination of videos, personal reflection, and group discussion/activity; facilitated by Mother Ashley. Come at 5:30 for an intimate prayer service in the Sanctuary. 6:00pm begins a soup and salad supper, with video and discussion beginning promptly at 6:15 in Baines– excellent opportunity for teens and adults.
