The  Rev. Ashley Urquidi

Priest in Charge

The Rev. Ashley Urquidi (Mother Ashley) comes to All Saints’ after seven years of serving as Associate Rector of Old Donation Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach. She got her MDiv from Seminary of the Southwest (Austin, TX), and her BA in psychology from Hood College (Frederick, MD). Ashley is married to Ben Urquidi, and together they have three young children: Levi, Joel, and Leia.

Aside from being a wife and mother, Ashley’s greatest passion is for spreading the Gospel in new and innovative ways, breaking down barriers, and reaching the marginalized. She seeks to empower all with the love and courage of God, and tries always to lead and guide with compassion, grace, and good humor. When she’s not caring for family or parish, you can find her on the beach– likely with a book and cup of coffee or good food (from a local restaurant!)

Dianne comes to us from within our own school where she served as lead teacher of the “Three’s Class” from 2006-2011. In 2010, she added the role of librarian to her responsibilities; a role that found her following her passion for children’s literature.

Dianne began her professional career in 1992 as a teacher with the Virginia Beach City Public Schools. For nine years she taught at Kempsville Meadows Elementary School, where she also served as grade level chair, member and secretary of the Principal’s Advisory Committee, Language Arts Committee chair, drug education coordinator, after-school tutor, and co-coordinator of a “Study Buddy” program that paired struggling first graders with fifth-grade student mentors.

Following her tenure with the VBCPS¸ Dianne worked as a field representative for Scholastic Book Fairs. In this role, she visited schools, collaborated with media specialists and teachers.
